As you can see, my scores continued to climb as I gained more skill and confidence. Spending more time with K3II and his excellent station and teammates taught me a lot about contesting and station design. I was putting these lessons to good use as I prepared to break into the big time in 1999. I finally cracked the million-point barrier in the CQ Worldwide contests from my own station, with low power!
